“Happy trees” and quick painting techniques will get a dedicated new online home under a deal featuring programs by and about the late Bob Ross, the soft-spoken former Air Force master sergeant turned celebrity painting instructor and online favorite.
The deal between Cinedigm and Bob Ross Inc. – the company formed decades ago by Ross, his then-wife Jane, and Annette and Walt Kowalski early in his public painting career – will create a dedicated Bob Ross Channel featuring about 380 episodes from his PBS show The Joy of Painting. Cinedigm also will create spots for the channel in support of public television, and others spotlighting Bob Ross licensed products and certified instructors.
